Metricsense, on the Avesta Labs stand.

Metricsense is built by Avesta Labs, so the stand is always the company's. What is on it depends on the room. Here is where it has been this year, and where it goes next.

The next stop is close to home: a short drive from the Ahmedabad team that engineers the product. The Avesta Labs stand goes to India's leading pharma and lab technology show, and the work on show there is mostly about operations rather than conversations.

If you run quality or customer support in a regulated manufacturer, the Metricsense half of that conversation is worth having. Complaints, field reports and support calls are the record of what went wrong, and most of that record is never read end to end. Ask us what it takes to read all of it.

AI-for-business summit, Melbourne

The one where the calls are the subject.

This is the show on the list where Metricsense is the thing we came to talk about. Australian contact centres, Australian regulators, and a room full of teams trying to get an AI pilot into production without handing their recordings to somebody who cannot say where they went.

If you run quality assurance on a sample and you have wondered what the rest of the calls would say, bring that question to the stand. We will take it seriously, including the part where the honest answer is that a sample is adequate for your volume.

Where the stand has already been

Asia's premier automation expo, Mumbai

Automation Expo 2026

Dates:22 to 25 July 2026
Venue:Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai
Avesta Labs stand:Hall 3, Stall D-25

You came to automate the plant. Who is reading the calls?

Most automation stops at the plant floor. The machines run and the line moves, and the decisions around it still rest on people, spreadsheets and a phone that rings all day. That was the argument the stand made in Mumbai.

The Metricsense end of it is narrow and specific: the calls, complaints and tickets around a plant are a written record of what is going wrong, and almost nobody reads all of it. A quality manager reads the ones that escalated, which is the sample that has already failed.

About the show

The 19th edition of Asia's premier automation exhibition brought together 2,000+ exhibitors, 40,000+ industrial products and 65,000+ visitors across robotics, machine vision, control systems and smart manufacturing at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.

The jars, six months on

We ran the same two-jar poll from Delhi: one jar for “I am worried about risk with AI”, one for “I am excited about AI agents”. This time the excitement jar filled first.

From whether to where

In February people asked whether to use AI at all. By July they were asking where to start. That is a different question and it wants a different answer.

The worry jar was asking the right things

Control, oversight, and knowing what the system did and why. Those are the questions that decide whether any of this is usable in a real business, and they are the ones we would rather field than dodge.

Excitement gets you to the pilot. Engineering gets you to production.

The world's first Global-South AI summit, New Delhi

India AI Impact Summit 2026

Dates:16 to 20 February 2026
Venue:Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi
Avesta Labs stand:Hall 1, Booth 47

What happens after the AI demo.

The demo is the easy part. Getting a system to behave the same way on the ten thousandth input as it did on the first is the part that decides whether any of it survives contact with a real business. That is what the stand at Bharat Mandapam was about.

For Metricsense the same point has a narrower form. Reading every conversation is not the hard bit. Reading every conversation and being able to show the exact words behind each answer, months later, to somebody who does not trust you, is the hard bit.

About the show

Announced and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 16 February, the India AI Impact Summit was the first global AI summit hosted in the Global South. Its expo featured 300+ exhibitors from 30 countries, and the summit convened 500+ global AI leaders under the theme “Welfare for all, happiness for all”.

The sentiment poll begins

One question at the booth: how do you feel about AI? On day one, 80% were excited and 20% were worried about the risks. Both groups were right.

A crowd across generations

School kids asking how to start learning, students already building, and enterprise leaders working out how any of it fits a system written in 2004. Nobody was waiting for permission.

Engineered in Ahmedabad

Plenty of visitors were surprised that a production AI platform serving customers in Australia and the UAE is engineered in Ahmedabad. For the team on the stand, that landed.

Meeting IAIRO

We met Amit Sheth and Juhi Bhatnagar from the Indian AI Research Organization, whose ambition of an ISRO for AI, sovereign and responsible, sat close to our own.

We came to show what we had built. What we took home was better: real signals from builders, founders and operators.

Not going to be at the show?

The conversation we have at a stand is the same one we can have on a call: what your customers said, and whether you can open the quote behind any answer we give you.
